Tabith Awal 'ready' for election as BAFF president
Tabith Awal has announced himself as a candidate for the post of President of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) on October 26. He announced this at a five-star hotel in the capital this afternoon.
Announcing his participation in the election, Tabith said, "For so long there was speculation whether I will be elected in Buff or not." Yes, I would choose Buffet. I am ready to run for the post of president in the upcoming BAFF elections. I am hopeful that I will win.'
Former footballer Tabith Awal was the vice-president of Bafuf in 2012 and 2016. In 2020, he also fought in the vice-presidential election. However, after getting equal votes with Mohiuddin Ahmed Mahi, he lost in the re-election by a narrow margin.
