Former Cricket Stars to Grace Victory Day Exhibition Match
As a tradition, former cricketers from the Bangladesh national team are set to engage in an exhibition match on the auspicious occasion of Victory Day. Organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) each year, this friendly encounter is dedicated to two courageous freedom fighters: cricketer Shahid Jewel and organizer Shahid Mushtaq, who sacrificed their lives during the liberation war.
Scheduled for December 16, the T20 match promises a unique atmosphere at Mirpur Sher Bangla Stadium, with the families of the two sporting heroes in attendance. BCB has unveiled the line-ups for the much-anticipated match.
The proceedings will commence with a minute of silence observed after the toss at 10:40 am, paying tribute to all freedom fighters. Subsequently, the national anthem will resonate through the stadium, marking the beginning of the match at 11 am.
