He told reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday, "'Unfortunately... there is nothing more to do about what was written on the forehead. I was really hoping to play one match (at least). So there is a little trouble here. I was ready for all the matches. Now due to team alignment…(Opportunity did not come in XI). Everyone was doing very well, so there was no match for him. I will try to give my best in LPL. The match has not been played for many days. So in that case, I can play matches here and return as before."
Shariful played for Colombo Strikers last year. Shariful did not get a team in this season's draft. He was later called as a replacement for Pakistan pacer Mohammad Ali. Shariful's team Kandy has already played 2 matches and won one. Their next match is on July 6 at 3:30 PM. About LPL, Shariful said, “Last time I went, I was able to play one match. I hope something good will happen this time."
