There has been a change in the 16-man squad from the team that beat Pakistan 2-0 in the recent WTC series in Rawalpindi. Left-arm pacer Shariful Islam is still recovering from a groin injury. An extra batsman is being reduced by a pacer.
Wicket keeper batsman Zaker Ali Anik got place instead of Shariful. The 26-year-old right-handed batsman is the only cricketer in the squad who is still waiting for a debut. After making his debut in first-class cricket in 2016, Zaker averaged 41.47. He scored his highest 172 runs in first-class cricket in the recent series against the 'A' team in Pakistan.
