Pacer Jahanara Alam has returned to the 15-member team. Jahanara got the award for the extraordinary performance in the Dhaka Premier League which ended a few days ago. He got 25 wickets in 9 innings for Abahani Limited, the runner-up of the tournament. While the economy was 3.12, the bowling average was 8.88.
Jahanara returned to the national team after more than a year. He last played for the national team on May 12, 2023, in the T20 World Cup. After that, the team management kept him out of the national team for a long time due to his performance.
Eight teams are participating in the Asia Cup. United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Nepal and Thailand are participating in the 2024 Women's Premier Cup along with Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
