Naimur Rahman Durjoy wants to leave the post of president of Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (QUAB). The former captain told Desh Manwaran on the phone that he is not willing to continue working as QUAB president. But not getting anyone responsible as a successor.
QUAB held its first formal Annual General Meeting in May 2023. The head of the International Federation of Professional Cricketers (FICA) Lisa Staleker arrived in Bangladesh the day after the meeting. Board Director Naimur Rahman as president of QUAB and a paid match referee of BCB as general secretary, mentioned the appointment of these two as an obstacle to the complete independence of QUAB in response to a question.
Durjoy, who was not nominated by the Awami League in the national elections, said in a conversation with a media, "The recent behavior and words of some of the top leaders of our Kwab have disappointed us to the extreme. I felt very embarrassed by that kind of conversation. Therefore, it is not possible for me to be in the top position of Kwab.
